CHARLES J. GELSO, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Psychology, University of Maryland, College Park. He has written extensively about the client/therapist relationship in diverse approaches to psychotherapy, and has conducted numerous empirical studies on the topic. Dr. Gelso has also practiced both brief and long-term psychodynamic therapy throughout his career.
JEFFREY A. HAYES, PhD, is an assistant professor of counseling psychology at Pennsylvania State University, University Park. His research and theoretical writing focus primarily on the psychotherapy relationship, with a particular emphasis on countertransference. He maintains a private psychotherapy practice in State College, Pennsylvania.

Outstanding guide for clinical use!

I have used this manual since my days as a student at Northwestern University. I have used the information to revise departmental procedures, make clinical decisions and teach students. The outline format is well organized and helpful. Information is thorough, evidence based and concise. This is a book you will keep as a reference. Physical agents reamin a powerful adjunct for clinical treatment, and access to clear and objective information is essential to making good clinical decisions. This book should be on your shelf!

Great service, good book

Excellent! Only my 2nd time ordering off Amazon, but I went off great reviews, which is why I'm leaving one. Ordered on a Fri night after business hrs, received the following Thursday. Plenty of time for me to return my overpriced textbooks to the bookstore! Item was undamaged and received as advertised. Super!!
